18-year-old shooter arraigned Wednesday

An arrest has been made in the shooting of a 20-year-old pregnant woman in Lansing overnight.

A spokesperson for the Lansing police told FOX 47 News that they have arrested an 18-year-old Lansing man in connection to the shooting that took place late Monday night in the 3200 block of Reo Road. Police expect the teen to be arraigned Wednesday.

Police say the victim was pregnant and remains in critical condition. Doctors were able to deliver a healthy baby.

A Lansing woman is in critical condition after being shot late Monday night.

Lansing Police were called to the 3200 block of Reo Road in Lansing's south side shortly after 11 p.m. on Monday. There they found the woman inside a car suffering from a single gunshot wound. She was rushed to the hospital where she remains critical Tuesday.

A man was with her in the car. Police interviewed him and other people at the scene. Police say they were told one or more subjects approached the car. There was an argument and several shots were fired. The subject or subjects fled on foot.

Police continue to investigate. No arrests have been made.

A woman is gunned down on the streets of South Lansing - the shooter is still on the loose.

The shooting happened late Monday night in the 3200 block of Reo Road. Lansing police tell FOX 47 News, a 20-year old woman was shot while walking down the street.

She was rushed to the hospital. No word on her condition. Police say she was the only person shot.

Police are not saying if this was random or if the victim and shooter know each other.

Police are expected to release more information later today.
